
RV fixed-operation professionals can attend the RVDA Convention/Expo at a special price.
The dedicated day and registration price were launched last year. This year, interested parties can register for $389 to attend the convention/expo beginning with an evening reception Nov. 12 and continuing through all educational sessions Nov. 13. Fixed-operations professionals can register for the convention here.
During Fixed Operations Day, RVDA said dealership employees can access information from RV industry experts and vendors to improve profitability and efficiency. RV Learning Center-certified fixed-operations professionals attending the workshops can gain continuing education unit credits.
Among the workshops scheduled for Fixed Operations Day are:
- “Technician Recruitment: Best Practices for Hiring & Retaining Top Talent” by Don Reed of DealerPro RV Training. The workshop covers best practices for recruiting, developing and retaining skilled technicians, with actionable strategies to build a strong workforce and reduce turnover.
- “Can’t We All Just Get Along? How to Help Your Parts & Service Departments” by Sara Hey of Bob Clements International. The session provides simple processes to improve communication, reduce friction and help parts and service teams contribute to a more profitable dealership.
- “Overdrive: Transforming Your Fixed Operations Department” by John Burgener of Vision Management Group. The session will help attendees unlock service and parts department’s full potential by improving leadership, streamlining processes and building a culture of accountability.
- “Two Controllables That Can Double Your Fixed Ops GP in Less Than 12 Months” by Ken Barnes of DealerPro RV Training. Attendees will learn how pay plans, labor and parts margin benchmarks, and productivity improvements can increase gross profit.
- “Turning Your Parts Department into a Bank Vault” by Hey. Attendees will discover how to manage inventory, adjust pricing and adopt strategies to make the parts department a strong profit center.
