The RV Industry Association will host a virtual panel on workplace safety this Wednesday as shuttered businesses across the country begin returning to work.

The discussion will focus on what RV business leaders can do to safely and efficiently reopen their plants or other facilities in the wake of COVID-19. RVIA Workplace Safety Taskforce members will speak about considerations their companies took when making plans to re-open.

Workplace Safety Taskforce Chairman Rick Puckett, of Winnebago Industries, will moderate the discussion on Wednesday, April 29. Fellow task force members Dave Youmans of Forest River, Ann Spratt of Grand Design RV and Erick Click of Lippert Components will join Puckett and offer expertise on limiting risk at the workplace.

The panel is limited to members of the RV Industry Association. It will begin at 3 p.m. EST Wednesday.

Puckett and the task force will run through a “playbook of recommendations and considerations” for safely re-opening production plants, according to the RVIA.

Wednesday’s discussion will cover topics including “temperature checks, social distancing, increased cleaning and disinfection, use of PPEs, contingency plans for an infected employee and much more.”
