On March 14, thunderstorms and tornadoes wreaked havoc on buildings across western central Ohio. Airstream facilities stood in the storm’s path.

The storm struck communities near Airstream headquarters in Jackson Center, Ohio.

Airstream President and CEO Bob Wheeler said, “This storm impacted our entire community, and our first priority is ensuring the safety and well-being of our impacted associates.”

Airstream’s 230,000-square-foot motorhome plant’s damage is still being assessed. The manufacturer’s travel trailer and Basecamp plants were not impacted. Due to the damage, Airstream paused its touring coach manufacturing. Partial motorhome manufacturing resumed last week.

“The well-being of our team and partners is always at the forefront of our minds,” Wheeler said, “and we are doing everything we can to help reduce the impact on our associates, dealers and retail customers.”
