Storyteller Overland added a Type B motorhome built on the all-wheel drive 170-inch wheelbase Mercedes-Benz 3500 Dually Sprinter chassis.
The company’s new Crew Mode is a step up from the manufacturer’s 144-inch wheelbase Mode lineup.
Company CEO Lee Conn said, “The Crew Mode simply offers more of everything Storyteller Modes are known for in terms of attention to detail and high-quality craftsmanship.”
The vehicle has seatbelt seating for up to five. Up to three car seats can be secured in the seating area. The driver’s rear bench seat faces forward and doubles as a swivel lounge seat to face out the entry door. The fifth seat, which is a captain’s chair, is removable to increase interior space.
The vehicle sleeps up to five. The company’s TroupeLounge RV queen-sized bed converts into a workstation or a lounge. A ventilated and powered hard-sided rooftop tent includes an RV full-sized bed.
The kitchen includes a 3.3-cubic-foot refrigerator/freezer, a stainless-steel sink, a combination air fryer/microwave, a portable induction stovetop and more than 120 inches of counterspace. The motorhome features a wet bath. When the bathroom is not used, the space functions as a wet/dry closet to add storage space.
Appliances include an air conditioner and a hydronic diesel heater. The power system features a Lithionics 16,800-watt-hour power system and 345 watts of solar panel power. A heavy-duty gear slideout tray holds up to 300 pounds.
Storyteller Overland founder and Chairman Jeffrey Hunter said, “With the addition of the 170 Crew Mode to our stellar vehicle range, we are once again signaling to our growing community that we hear them and are tracking along with the ever-changing needs of their families and active interest pursuits.”
The vehicle is on display at the Florida RV SuperShow in Tampa, Florida. The vehicles will begin shipping in the 2025 first quarter.
