Adventure vehicle manufacturer Storyteller Overland’s new Global Expedition Vehicle, the Grand Bohemian, is built on an INEOS Grenadier SUV platform.
The company calls the RV a pioneering micro camper.
Storyteller Overland founder and CEO Jeffrey Hunter said Storyteller Overland recognized the Grenadier’s uniqueness.
“Even before we ever fully built out our first Mode Adventure Van back in the day, we were dreaming about creating a world’s first turnkey micro camper like the Grand Bohemian,” Hunter said. “It was not until Jim Ratcliffe and the good people at INEOS dared to bring the Grenadier to market that we finally had the right platform to go live on.”
Hunter said the Grenadier Trialmaster’s styling, body-on-frame architecture, full-time 4×4 design and serviceability were factors in using the platform to build the Grand Bohemian.
“The Grenadier presented the perfect canvas to design and deliver something like no other to Storyteller’s and Global Expedition Vehicle’s industry-leading adventure-ready vehicle range,” Hunter said, “as well as our community at large.”
The manufacturer said its new vehicle draws inspiration from the “romance and rich heritage” of overlanding events such as the Dakar Rally, Rebelle Rally and Camel Trophy series.
“The adventurous spirit of the Grand Bohemian is reflected in its emblem, the majestic Kudu,” the company said. “In the wild, the Kudu (large African antelope) is unhurried and intentional, yet it does not hesitate to move when action is required. That same sense of balance and measured confidence defines every aspect of this vehicle.”
A BMW 3-liter engine powers the Grand Bohemian. The RV features an 8-speed ZF automatic transmission, includes the Evictus Prerunner suspension standards and rides on Torque Enduro wheels and BFGoodrich off-road tires. The Grand Bohemian includes a front-mounted winch, an onboard air compressor and auxiliary lighting.
A pop-top roof provides standing room when deployed. A 270-degree shadow awning expands the outdoor living space.
The 5.4-kilowatt-hour power system features up to 400 watts of solar and 30-amp shore power.
Inside, the Grand Bohemian’s galley features a portable induction cooktop, a 21-quarter refrigerator/freezer, a stainless-steel sink with a folding faucet and Guzzle H2O water filtration. An L-shaped bench converts to sleeping space. The RV has a 10.5-gallon freshwater tank and a 4-gallon grey water tank.
The bathroom includes a compost toilet, an exterior shower at the rear and a hydronic heating system.
“Unlike vehicles that are accessorized after purchase, the Grand Bohemian was designed and engineered as a fully integrated adventure system,” Storyteller said. “Every component is curated to work together under one warranty and within a single nationwide sales and service ecosystem, strengthening its long-term serviceability and value.”
Storyteller Overland said Grand Bohemian is fully RVIA-certified.
