RV Comfort Systems debuted its updated all-electric RV furnace.
The furnace has the same footprint as a Suburban furnace or a Furrion/Fogatti gas RV furnace.
The company said the updated furnace runs on 30-amp and 50-amp shore power.
According to RV Comfort Systems, furnace features available that are not found on a gas furnace include a dual-voltage heater coil, horizontal or vertical installation and all-metal parts.
The all-electric furnace has up to five heater ranges in a single heater coil. The company said the heat output is comparable to a 20,000 BTU to 40,000 BTU gas furnace.
RV Comfort Systems said the electric furnace does not need to be installed on an exterior wall since it has no flue.
Other features include ball bearings in the motor, rather than sleeves in a gas furnace motor. The updated furnace has a blower with no brushes, unlike the 12-volt blower brushes on a gas furnace.
