The Terex Corporation said its RV segment recently completed a full renovation of the company’s primary service center in Decatur, Indiana.

Terex Corp. RV segment Director of Customer and Product Support Jeremy Slinker said the improvements made over the past year were designed to strengthen customer service, improve operations and modernize the facility.

“It was important to our team to prioritize customer comfort and privacy with the upgrades made to our facility,” Slinker said. “We often have customers who stay on the property while their vehicles are being serviced, so it only made sense for us to pour most of our resources into making those stays comfortable for them.”

The company said customers who stay with their RV during service can be on site anywhere from one day to one week, depending on the level of service needed. The renovated facility provides 42 free camping spots with 50-amp electrical service for customers whose RVs are being serviced.

The site includes water and dumping stations; restroom and laundry facilities with new washer/dryer units for customer use; and customer workstations.

The company also offers indoor lodging options nearby, including discounted hotel room and transportation.

A new entertainment system with a 100-inch TV and surround sound was added to the customer lounge.

Terex said its Customer Experience Team has been relocated to the Decatur service center to enable closer collaboration with service advisors and technicians.

“Having the team on-site,” a Terex spokesperson said, “allows customers to connect directly with representatives who can assist with warranty questions, service coordination and product support.”

The renovated service center now has 26 service bays, 12 paint bays and the ability to service between 80 and 100 customers in a week.

The facility is where Terex services its American Coach, Fleetwood RV and Holiday Rambler models, as well as other brands.

The renovation also created private consultation offices where customers can meet with service advisors and customer support staff.  The customer check-in area was redesigned and labeled to aid in the arrival process.
