Three Thor Industries brands are scheduled to lay off 570 employees next month from Heartland RV, Cruiser RV and DRV.

Following Thor’s March 19 announcement that Heartland will be integrated under Jayco, three Heartland facilities—in Elkhart and Middlebury, Indiana, and Sturgis, Michigan—are scheduled to close.

A Cruiser facility and a DRV facility–both in Howe, Indiana—also will close. The closures will lay off 570 employees total, effective June 20.

The manufacturers filed four separate Warn notices April 21. According to the Indiana Department of Workforce Development, Heartland will lay off 147 employees, Cruiser will lay off 251 and DRV will lay off 51. According to the Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity, Heartland will lay off 121 employees.

Employees received letters informing them of the layoffs, according to an article published April 22 in The Elkhart Truth.
