Traveland RV bought Minard’s Leisure World in Saskatchewan from Susan and Gene Minard, according to Performance Brokerage Services.
Minard’s Leisure World, which was founded in 2004 and has two locations, is the No. 1 RV dealer by sales volume in Saskatchewan, according to Statistical Surveys Inc. For the past 21 years, the dealership has been recognized for its customer service.
Susan and Gene Minard decided to retire from the industry and sold the dealership. Susan Minard said the couple was pleased with the entire process.
“From the beginning, it was clear that our two companies were an excellent fit, sharing the same values in both staff and customer service,” she said. “The Traveland RV team worked with integrity, speed and precision, which was essential given the tight timeline.”
Traveland RV, family-owned and founded in 1977, is among the largest RV dealer groups in Canada. The company operates nine locations across Alberta, British Columbia and Saskatchewan.
Traveland RV Managing Director Chris Clarke said acquiring Minard’s enables Traveland to continue growing across western Canada.
“Susan and Gene have built a solid and highly reputable business, which was quite evident when we had the opportunity to work with them previously at off-site events,” Clarke said. “Our cultures, work ethics and focus on customer service are closely aligned. When Bruce Marcia of Performance Brokerage Services approached us with an opportunity to expand our group, we were very interested.”
Over the last five years, Performance Brokerage Services has advised on the sale of nearly 400 dealerships, making it the highest volume dealership brokerage firm in North America.
“An acquisition of this size can take some time to complete,” Clarke said, “so we were not sure about the tight timeline involved. However, with full cooperation from everyone, we were able to make it happen.
Jesse Stopnitzky, co-owner of Performance Brokerage Services, and Bruce Marcia, partner of the Canadian Outdoor Recreation Division, were the sell-side advisors for this transaction.

Minard’s Leisure World will be renamed Traveland’s Minard’s RV. The dealership’s Weyburn and Watrous, Saskatchewan, locations will remain at their current sites.
