Truma North America is celebrating Earth Day with community service this year. The supplier’s annual spring clean-up will commence at High Dive Park in Elkhart, Indiana, with various celebrations and activities.

Signage will shift around the park as Truma is named the corporate sponsor of High Dive Park.

Truma began working with the city’s Adopt-a-Park program in the fall. The company has taken part in maintenance projects at its adopted park on a bi-monthly basis.

Truma Vice President of Sales and Marketing Tim Williams said, “We are incredibly proud to be the first participants in the Adopt-a-Park program. It is a great way for us to give back. While we work in the RV industry, many of us still spend 40 hours a week in an office, so it is a great excuse for our team to get outside, enjoy nature, share some laughs and food and leave this unique local park better than we found it for the enjoyment of everyone in the Elkhart community.”

The signage will be unveiled at 9 a.m. April 20 at High Dive Park. Afterward, Truma will host its Spring Clean Up Event until 1 p.m., where volunteers will remove litter and invasive species in addition to other projects.

The Elkhart Parks and Recreation Department will provide tools such as trash pickers. Truma suggests attendees bring work gloves, comfortable clothes and durable footwear. At 9:30 a.m., attending children can take part in a nature scavenger hunt.A picture of Truma volunteers working at High Dive Park.

On the same day, Truma will sponsor the Elkhart Environmental Center’s annual family Earth Day Celebration from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Environmental Center.

Elkhart Parks and Recreation Superintendent Jamison Czarnecki said, “Collaborations like this allow us to maximize our output, save taxpayer dollars and allow businesses to connect with the community in a new way. We look forward to growing the Adopt-a-Park program and having more organizations involved.”
