According National Powersports Auctions’ March 2026 Market Report, the pre-owned RV market continues to gain momentum as dealers report stronger sales activity.
NPA data indicates buyers remain focused on value, affordability and immediate availability. This focus is currently driving increased interest in quality used towables and motorhomes.
“At the same time, new RV shipments have slowed as manufacturers adjust production amid rising material costs tied to tariffs and ongoing global uncertainty,” an NPA spokesperson said. “Higher costs for components, transportation and manufacturing are also expected to keep pricing elevated on new RVs throughout the season.”
NPA Marketing Director Kathy Latus said used RV values are trending upward as buyers continue to look for alternatives to higher-priced new models.
“We are encouraged to see used RV sales continuing to grow,” Latus said. “NPA has a strong selection of pre-owned inventory that dealers are actively seeking, and we continue to expand and improve our operations to support that demand.
The pre-owned RV market remains well supplied, giving dealers an opportunity to meet demand with more options.
“Elevated fuel costs and uncertainty surrounding overseas travel may also encourage more regional camping and road-trip activity this summer,” a spokesperson said. “Dealers who maintain a strong mix of quality pre-owned towables and motorized units will be better positioned to improve inventory flexibility, support faster turns and remain competitive during peak selling season.”
As spring demand continues to build, the NPA said dealers can expand and diversify their inventory through its auctions. In May, more than 450 RVs, campers, fifth wheels and towables are available through weekly NPA auctions.
“With changing market conditions and continued interest in affordable travel options,” an NPA spokesperson said, “pre-owned RV inventory can help dealers maintain selection and respond quickly to customer demand.”
