U.S. Rep. Rudy Yakym (R-Ind.) said Thursday he would co-chair the House RV Caucus on Capitol Hill.

Members of the House and Senate RV Caucuses represent RV industry members from across the country and serve as champions for legislative and regulatory RV industry issues, RVIA said.

Yakym is a freshman congressman representing Northern Indiana, including the Elkhart County area. He ran for office after the 2022 death of Jackie Walorski. Yakym was a former Walorski finance manager, and Walorski was a co-founder of the House RV Caucus since 2014.

“I am absolutely thrilled to co-chair and help lead the Congressional RV Caucus along with Congressman (Dina) Titus,” Yakym said. “Indiana’s Second District is the ‘RV Capital of the World,’ and my dear late friend Jackie Walorski fought hard to keep it that way. I am honored to continue Jackie’s legacy of championing this important industry that is the source of so many jobs in our region as well as so many happy memories and traditions for families all across America.”

Titus is a Democrat from Nevada who has been a House RV Caucus co-chair since 2015.

“As co-chair of the Congressional RV Caucus, I look forward to uplifting Nevada’s status as a premier destination for all kinds of travelers,” Titus said. “Rep. Yakym and I will continue the late Rep. Walorski’s legacy of helping Americans see the country and enjoy the great outdoors.”

In addition to the co-chairs, the House RV Caucus includes 24 other members: Robert B. Aderholt (R-Ala.), Brian Babin (R-Texas), Jim Banks (R-Ind.), Jim Baird (R-Ind.), Gus M. Bilirakis (R-Fla.), Suzanne Bonamici (D-Ore.), Julia Brownley (D-Calif.), Larry Bucshon (R-Ind.), Tim Burchett (R-Tenn.), Andre Carson (D-Ind.), Tom Emmer (R-Minn.), Randy Feenstra (R-Iowa), Glenn Grothman (R-Wis.), Bill Huizenga (R-Mich.), Jim Jordan (R-Ohio), Trent Kelly (R-Miss.), Derek Kilmer (D-Wash.), Doug Lamborn (R-Colo.), Ralph W. Norman (R-S.C.), Elissa B. Slotkin (D-Mich.), Randy Weber (R-Texas), Tim Walberg (R-Mich.), Robert B. Aderholt (R-Ala.) and Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-Fla.).

The Senate RV Caucus is chaired by Iowa Republican Joni Ernst. The other 12 Senate RV Caucus members are: Mike Braun (R-Ind.), Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio), Tom Carper (D-Del.), Robert Casey (D-Pa.), Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa), Angus King (I-Maine), Jeff Merkley (D-Ore.), Gary Peters (D-Mich.), Mike Rounds (R-S.D.), Tina Smith (D-Minn.),  Roger Wicker (R-Miss.) and Todd Young (R-Ind.).

“We are very grateful for the leadership role Congressman Yakym and Congresswoman Titus have taken by co-chairing the House RV Caucus,” RVIA Vice President of Government Affairs Jason Rano said. “As the RV industry’s champions on Capitol Hill, these leaders and their fellow caucus members understand the importance and impact of the $140 billion RV industry. We look forward to working with Congressman Yakym and Congresswoman Titus to promote this all-American industry.”
