The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has issued the following recalls:

NEWMAR CORPORATION

Heating System Incorrectly Wired

Unintended activation of the hydronic heating system can produce harmful gas, increasing injury risk.

Potential Number of Units Affected: 32

Newmar is recalling certain 2026 Freedom Aire motorhomes. The hydronic heating system wiring may be incorrectly connected to constant 12-volt power, which can cause the hydronic heating system to unintentionally activate.

Dealers will repair the wiring and disconnect the hydronic heating system from constant 12-volt power, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed April 24. Owners may contact Newmar customer service at 1-800-731-8300. Newmar’s number for this recall is 626 RSB.

 

Hood Stop Adhesive May Fail

Hodd stops that detach can become a road hazard, increasing crash or injury risk.

Potential Number of Units Affected: 3582

Newmar is recalling certain 2018-2026 Bay Star and Bay Star Sport motorhomes. The hood stops mounting adhesive may fail, which can allow the hood stop to detach while the vehicle is in transit.

Dealers will inspect and reinstall the hood stop brackets, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed April 24. Owners may contact Newmar customer service at 1-800-731-8300. Newmar’s number for this recall is 627 RSB.
