The average selling price for motorized and towable RVs increased from the previous month while auction volumes decreased.

“The average sales prices for motorhomes and towables sold at wholesale auctions both increased last month. This is a little bit surprising given the time of year; usually prices begin their seasonal uptick a little closer to the start of Spring,” said Eric Lawrence, Black Book principal analyst of specialty markets. “It is possible that all the gloomy economic news and talk of a looming recession is causing dealers to shift gears and stock up on older, more affordable vehicles.”

The average selling price for a motorized RV increased 7.1% from the previous month to $73,441, up $4,876. The average selling price of towables increased 3.5% from last month, up $653 to $19,182.

Motorhome auction volumes decreased 14.3% and towable volumes dropped 1.51%.

In 2022, the average motorhome sold for $69,237 and the average towable for $20,520.
