
Black Book’s RV Market Commentary for June showed a $12,349 decrease in the average sale price for used motorhomes in the past month.
According to Black Book, “The values for used RVs sold at wholesale auction were mixed last month, with motorhomes dropping back down to their usual seasonal levels and towables inching up slightly.”
The average motorized sales price was $63,472, which is down 16.3% from the previous month. A year ago, the average motorhome sold for $68,756, 7.7% higher than June 2025.
Towable average sales prices were $18,426, up 2.9% from the previous month. A year ago, the average towable was $19,057, 3.3% higher than June 2025.
Auction volume for June was mostly flat. Motorized volume was unchanged and towable volume rose 1.7%.
Eric Lawrence, Principal Automotive Analyst, Specialty Vehicles, said, “Now that we are in the heart of the summer, most dealers are fully stocked and are buying units at auctions to replace ones they have sold to retail customers,” Black Book wrote, “or to better align their inventory with the demand they are experiencing.”
The average motorhomes age sold was nine years old. The average towable age was five years old.
