
Winnebago Industries, Inc. has named Dick’s Sporting Goods executive Emily Silver as an independent board director. Silver will serve as a member of the technology and human resources committees.
Silver is a senior vice president and chief marketing, eCommerce and athlete experience officer at Dick’s. She leads the company’s marketing and eCommerce businesses and strategy.
John Murabito, Winnebago Industries’ board chairman, said Silver brings a powerful blend of strategic thinking and marketing leadership.
“Her perspectives on consumer insights, brand-led growth and data-enabled decision making will meaningfully enhance the board’s capabilities,” Murabito said, “as the company navigates dynamic times.”
Silver said she was honored to join the manufacturer’s board of directors.
“The company has a strong portfolio of premium brands and a clear strategic vision,” she said, “and I look forward to contributing my experience to help more people enjoy the benefits of time outside.”
Before joining Dick’s, Silver held various senior leadership roles for 16 years at PepsiCo.
Winnebago President and CEO Mike Happe said she is a proven leader and that her expertise in digital marketing, brand building, and customer engagement is critically important to Winnebago.
“Her experience leading large-scale marketing and eCommerce transformations at iconic consumer brands will be invaluable,” Happe said, “as we strengthen our connection with customers and unlock new growth opportunities across our outdoor recreation portfolio.”
Winnebago Industries’ board of directors now consists of 10 members.
