Dragonfly Energy’s Battle Born brand is entering the solar market. The company will release a solar panel line in early January.
Dragonfly Chief Marketing Officer Tyler Bourns said the panels will expand the Battle Born ecosystem.
“There is a lot of importance to building out a system that works effectively. We have built out a full Battle Born ecosystem,” Bourns said. “That ecosystem will continue to expand out with different products, and we are excited about our Battle Born solar panels.”
The solar panels will be available in four sizes: 120 watts, 200 watts, 230 watts and 375 watts.
“They will be available in the next month, and they are great,” Bourns said. “They’ve got anti-shading technology and increased power output in the same footprint.”
One new panel will be portable.
Battle Born said its 200-watt, 12-volt portable solar panel has a 22.5% conversion efficiency using Grade A monocrystalline cells.
The foldable panel packs down to 23.3 inches by 23.1 inches by 3.2 inches. The panel unfolds to be 88 inches by 23.1 inches by 1 inch.
“Integrated cabling with MC4 connectors allows quick plug-and-play connection to most 12-volt systems,” Bourns said, “while its compact folded size makes transport convenient.”
The portable panel weighs under 20 pounds and is backed by a one-year manufacturer’s warranty.
Battle Born’s three installed solar panel sizes are a 120-watt, 12-volt panel; a 230-watt, 12-volt panel; and a 375-watt, 24-volt panel.
All three feature anti-shading technology. The company said the feature maintains consistent power output in low light.
Battle Born said the rigid panels all feature 5400 pascals (Pa) snow load, 2400 Pa wind load and salt mist resistance. The panels have a 23% conversion efficiency using monocrystalline cells.
The company said its 120-watt panel weighs under 16 pounds and is built for longevity.
The 230-watt panel features an anodized aluminum frame and tempered glass. At 28 pounds, Battle Born said the panel balances size and output while optimizing roof space.
The 375-watt, 24-volt Rigid Solar Panel Blackout Edition combines high-performance output with a modern, all-black look.
“Built with 60 premium monocrystalline cells, a rugged anodized aluminum frame and tempered glass, this panel is tested to withstand heavy snow, high winds, salt mist and constant UV exposure,” Bourns said. “Its all-black design offers a clean, seamless appearance on rooftops or custom installations, making it as stylish as it is powerful.”
A 10-year workmanship warranty and a 25-year linear performance warranty back all three installed panels.
In November, Battle Born released a series of inverters/chargers and a new Base Series battery. Bourns said Battle Born products are compatible with each other and most third-party products.
“Across every market we serve, customers want power solutions that are easier to install, easier to manage, and easier to trust,” Bourns said. “These new offerings allow us to meet those needs with a unified Battle Born ecosystem that brings our quality, safety and support to more applications than ever before.”
