October Wholesale Shipments Down

RV shipments ended October with 38,972 wholesale shipments, down 10.5 percent from the 43,568 units shipped last year, according the RV Industry Association’s October survey of manufacturers.
Child’s Wish Granted at Mount Comfort RV

Nine-year-old Avery Leck had her wish granted recently at Mount Comfort RV in Greenfield, Indiana, where she picked-up the keys to her new 19-foot travel trailer. Leck, who has a life-threatening illness, applied for a wish with Indiana Children’s Wish Fund.

New Oregon RV Laws Take Effect Jan. 1

McNamara to Present First Sobel University Doctoral Thesis

Ed McNamara, a 42-year veteran of the RV industry, and expert on the ongoing RV technician crisis will be awarded the first doctoral certificate from Sobel University on Monday, Dec. 9. McNamara will then deliver his thesis on solving the technician shortage.
RVIA Seal Cost to Rise $11 in 2020; First Increase Since 2010

RVIA will increase its RVIA seal cost in 2020, raising the per-unit fee from $16 to $27. The RVIA board of directors approved the seal cost increase, its first in a decade. RVIA dues will not increase in 2020.

Forest River Adopts LCI Italy Table Mechanisms For All Sprinter Type C

Lippert Components Inc. (LCI) announces Forest River has adopted the Planet four-direction rotating table mechanism for all Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Type C motorhomes. The Planet table mechanism was developed by LCI Italy as part of the DaVinci Series line of movable and adjustable table mechanisms.
