In 1964, brothers Tom, Keith and Claude Corson started Coachmen in a 5,000-square-foot plant in Middlebury, Indiana. In 2008, Forest River, Inc. purchased Coachmen, whose headquarters remain in Middlebury. Today, Coachmen has built and sold more than 600,000 Type A, B and C motorhomes, fifth wheels and travel trailers.
